DEEP IMPACT

Mutli-platform marketing delivers more than just reach

Pursuing only one form of marketing is becoming an increasingly obsolete practice as companies begin focusing on multi-platform strategies to create impact and attract new customers.

Integrated Media Measurement Inc have released a study showing that advertising on multiple platforms results in a significant increase in a campaign's conversion rate measured by the percentage of consumers who actually purchase the product or service being advertised.

It was thought that Multi-platform advertising just increased the reach of a campaign reducing the approach to a numbers game where more spending equals more customers hit. However, this new research shows multi-platform advertising not only increases the reach, it also increases consumer conversion rates.

"As new communication methods evolve and consumer habits change, businesses must respond by adopting marketing strategies which best communicates to their target markets. This can often be a marketing-mix, with many companies requiring a combination of traditional and new marketing platforms," explains Adpromedia MD Andrea McMahon.
